Dr. Sharonda Bacon and Felicia Woods of our Coastal Georgia Team Facilitated a workshop on Employer Expectations and Career Services to Savannah Technical College.  


























April 22, 2022

IN THE DOOR's Paul Allen and Brittany Holder worked with Walmart Neighborhood Market Store # 840  in Warner Robins to obtain shopping carts of laundry detergent and additional items to Warner Robins Housing Authority residents.  Paul collected the donations and delivered them to Brittany Holder, One-Stop Operator at the Houston County Housing Authority in which Brittany will have a residents event giveaway at 400 Green St, Warner Robins, GA 31093.  This picture (below) shows Paul Allen, One-Stop Operator in Middle Georgia and Christy Parker of the Warner Robins Housing Authority.

IN THE DOOR had its first Preparation in the PITCH an Entrepreneur/ Small Business Workshop with Georgia State University Lift Program Scholars that resulted in a group of five students winning the grand prize. Thank you State Farm and the Georgia Energy and Industrial Construction Consortium for the event sponsorship.

IN THE DOOR hosted a Personal Financial Literacy Empowerment Event for Georgia State Univerisity Students and DeKalb County Residents with guest Moderator, DeKalb Commissioner Lorraine Cochran-Johnson (video below).  






















October 15, 2021

Ashley Becker the One-Stop Operator of WorkSource Lower Chattahoochee assisted with the collaboration of Columbus Technical College and the Chamber of Commerce to offer a new Certificate of Entrepreneurship. The Make StartUPs Certificate of Entrepreneurship program is a 12-week course followed by six months of mentorship and membership to StartUp Columbus (Small Business Incubator). The project is scheduled to begin its first cohort starting November 9th.  



August 12, 2021

IN THE DOOR's Youth team has recently partnered with the Jefferson Energy Cooperative to host youth participants in Line Services which was displayed in the Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce article. The Jefferson Energy Cooperative HR Director stated this when working with one of our participants, "We have loved working with Aarion. He is a very hard-working young man and takes pride in what he sets out to accomplish. I believe this program gives the opportunity for our youth to succeed in ways that will sustain our future leaders in the workforce; these are opportunities that may not otherwise be obtainable". July 8, 2021

IN THE DOOR assisted  the WorkSource Atlanta team with the District 10 job fair with Council member Andrea L. Boone  in partnership with Integrity Partnership CDC at the C.T. Martin Natatorium and Recreation Center.  Picture shown below.  




















May 11, 2021

IN THE DOOR hosted a Virtual Job Fair with ( Coca-Cola, Frito-Lay, Sellers Construction, & Gilmer Warehouse). Over 50 job seekers attended this 2 hour event that featured individual break-out rooms for employers and direct interviews.
