IN THE DOOR's Dr. Markisha Butler, a College of Coastal Georgia Foundation Trustee and Regional Leader at IN THE DOOR via WorkSource Coastal, talked to a group of 6th and 7th graders of the Girls Summer Youth Development Program. The topic of discussion was career development, where Dr. Butler encouraged the girls to chase after their dreams.

IN THE DOOR hosted a Virtual Job Fair with ( Coca-Cola, Frito-Lay, Sellers Construction, & Gilmer Warehouse). Over 50 job seekers attended this 2 hour event that featured individual break-out rooms for employers and direct interviews.


March 3, 2020

Hosted webinar entitled “Job Tips for Older Workers” I shared information about the One-Stop, virtual interviewing tips, and job market information. The event focused on empowering seniors to overcome ageism and enable them to further their professional careers. 


October 20-21, 2020
 
WorkSource Middle Georgia hosted an event, “Seniors and Veterans with Disabilities Resource Expo.” It was a wonderful event with 50 attendees for Seniors and Veterans with Disabilities. This virtual event covered two days with three presenters each day utilizing subjects such as Resume Writing, Interview Skills, VA Benefits, Workplace Accommodations, Work Incentive Planning, and a training program by Legacy Links.
